Origin & Significance

This deep-fried, crispy poori is made with a spiced urad dal (lentil) and wheat flour dough, making it more flavorful and hearty than regular pooris. Paired with a tangy, spicy potato curry, it’s a favorite street food and festive dish, often enjoyed during special occasions and winter mornings.
